Aushim Khetarpal: A BRIEF
Aushim Khetarpal. A multi-dimensional personality engaged in multifarious pursuits. Managing to juggle all the acts successfully while still keeping an unruffled exterior.

A well educated background, schooling from St. Columbas’ New Delhi, and graduation from Hindu College, Delhi University. Started of as a sports journalist working for India Today, but had a fire burning inside to make a mark for himself. One day while walking on the sidewalk he saw a sign of a shoe company, flashing “Radiant”. That’s it! An idea was born and along with it was born “Radiant Sports Management”. The operation started with the Radiant Tennis Academy at Modern School Barakhamba Road, New Delhi, that produced many outstanding national champions. In a few years, the company’s and Aushim’s activities had expanded into almost every sporting arena.

Aushim’s foray into the sporting field not only established him as a paradigm creator in the field, but also brought him into close proximity with the media world. Having uncanny acumen for his age, he quickly learned the rules of the game and began to make his presence felt in the glamour world too. He now began distributing and producing TV serials, understanding that the TV industry was on the verge of maturity.

The activities of the company were not restricted to TV alone. Many other events revolving around sporting and film personalities were organized, a feat which only Aushim could have accomplished, with his feet in both the worlds. Using the skills learnt over the years, Aushim provided his expertise to many sporting event organizers and helped in producing many mega events.

A look at some of these events:

Having such a successful record under his belt, it seemed Aushim would settle into a sedate routine and would be remembered as one of the most dynamic sports and media promoters in the country. Fate, however, had other plans. In 1999 he was besieged by innumerable problems, both personal and financial. The light at the end of the tunnel seemed to flicker and fade and things looked grim. On the verge of quitting, inspiration hit Aushim in the form of Sai Baba. Faith entered into Aushim and he seemed renewed with an indefatigable energy. Divine Entertainment Ltd went public and the first venture he undertook under its banner was Shirdi Sai Baba. starring Sudhir Dalvi, Aushim Khetarpal, Suresh Oberoi, Divya Dutta, Alok Nath, Dharamendra among many others.

As the cliché goes, there was no looking back after that. One thing followed another and Aushim had a “splash” landing in the film industry, much akin to a duck in water. In a short span of 2 years, Aushim has a footing as an actor with Aap Jaisa Koi Nahin, with Riya Sen, Sameer Bhatt, Suresh Oberai, Shatrughan Sinha, Johnny Lever, Aroona Irani, Raj Babbar, Sarkar, with Sunil Shetty, Mahima Choudhury, Namrata, Directed by Tinu Anand, Arjun with Sonali Bhendre, Naseeruddin Shah, Paresh Rawal, Sadasiva Amrapurkar, Suresh Oberai, Director Himanshu Bhrambhatt, among other films being on the anvil. Aushim has also made a smash singing debut with his own album called “Dil na Jaane” which has sold over 1 lac cassettes.
